ANSI, ISO, DIN, API, WIMES and Norsok international standards and specifications.
Pipe Specifications
Material specifications
Component Datasheets (inc EJMA expansion joint, spring support and valve datasheets)
Schedules (pipe support, bolts etc)
Line Lists
PED Classifications
Pressure Vessel Calculations
We use Stress Analysis software packages Caesar II and Autopipe to complete the stress and flexibility analysis of piping systems to recognized code requirements. Our pipe stress analysis can include for both Static and Dynamic loading scenarios and the analysis can be completed to a variety of the latest international codes and standards such as ASME B31.3, ASME B31.1, ASME B31.4, ASME B31.8, CSA Z662, BS EN 13480 and PD 8010.
Using pipe stress analysis services we are able to
Mitigate the effects of thermal and pressure expansion on the piping systems
Assess the effects of potential impact loads such as slug loads and water hammer
Capture potential support lift off scenarios
Determine piping reaction loadings onto equipment nozzles
Review nozzle loads for compliance with international codes / standards and any limitations imposed by the equipment manufacturer
Determine pipe support loads on Steelwork and Civil Structures
Confirm all Pipe Stresses will be below defined limits
Assess the effects of potential vibration sources such as wind and seismic
Define and create Variable and Constant Spring pipe support datasheets using a variety of supplier catalogs to suit client requirements
Our professional piping stress engineers have a bachelor's and Master's degree in mechanical / structural engineering and province license (P.Eng.) in Alberta, Saskatchewan, British Columbia and Ontario. We review, validate, certify and stamp piping and structural packages.
